Once cut, a flower’s story is tragic—no longer a part of the natural order, they are transported into the manmade world and left in a vase, only to be appreciated for transitory moments until discarded. I photograph withering flora when they have lost commercial appeal and integrate them into our technological world, altering their usual representation to bring awareness to our climate change crisis.
